The house

Everything faces the pool.

Villa Aya wraps around a private courtyard. The bedrooms and the living room open straight onto the water through floor-to-ceiling glass, so the pool is the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing at night.

At the far end sits a covered sala of rough island stone behind a carved teak door: shade for the hot hours, with deep lounge chairs and a ceiling fan.

Green tile and carved teak.

Glazed green wall tile, hand-carved teak mirrors and timber vanities. The main bathroom adds a freestanding tub and a walk-in rain shower.
